Summer Rec Opening Day is one of the many reasons we love Waterman so much! The symbolism
of the parade going from the school to the ball field (for the summer) is one of richest
pieces of Americana I've seen. The event itself was the best yet. We are truly fortunate
to have so many people involved in making our Opening Day celebration something our
children will tell their children about. Time marches on at a frantic pace these days -
but for one day a year we're taken back to a simpler and much more pleasant time when
baseball, hot dogs, and dunk tanks are all that really matter. Norman Rockwell couldn't
have done it any better." |
